How long do you have to wait to highlight hair?

Im dying my hair today((out of the boxx/brown)) and i was just wondering how long i should wait to HighLight my hair blonde

How long do you have to wait to highlight hair?

hi, many hairdresser will dye your hair straight after but this may burn hair. i suggest you have a pro do it because if your dark haired that means you need to bleache and that is sooo tricky. however if you want to do it on your own, three days should be sufficient. also, make sure you treat your hair to a nice mask. look out for ingrediant such as honey or olive oil, they work miracles. after you dye or highlight your hair is very dry so make sure you condition after shampooing. good luck

definetly have a professional do it. I would wait at least 3 weeks so hair would be too "crispy" Highlighting your own hair is difficult and you can miss spots plus if you don't do it just right your highlights will turn orange ( ew) A good way to keep your healthy so it would be so susceptible to damage is use GOOD shampoo. I know we all love the way pantene and herbal essences smells but they don't really work too well on color treated hair. I recommend : RUSK

also it helps to have a shine/finishing spray that you can use before you dry and after you dry. Makes your hair soft and manageable

So, If I got it right you're dying your hair today with a brown shade and you'll do it yourself. That's ok. But then you wanna highlight it, right?

Ok, you should at least wait a week to do the highlights. And for better results I'd recommend you get your hightlights done by a proffessional.
