first of all only blond is considered a highlight. What you want is a lowlight. It will be around 55- 60 dollars at a decent salon. You can get it cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Go somewhere that will do it right so your hair stays in good condition.

You can do to great clips are get a hair cut for $14. They can layer it for you if you ask. You can go to Walgreens and pick up a highlighting kit for $10-$15. That would be the cheapest way to do it. That's how I highlight and layer my hair.

well i just got my hair highlighted and cut/styled yesterday and it came to a total of about $175...so i would expect it to cost anywhere from $100-$200 depending on the extent of the highlights and the salon
