Should I dye my hair from dark brunette to a sandy blond, or just get highlights?????

I have made this mistake. I wanted to be sandy blonde really bad and I dyed it from dark brown. It looked horrible. I wished everyday that I hadn't have done it. The woman was a good hairstylist too...the colors just didn't blend well. I went back and got it all dyed back to my natural color and got a ton of highlights. I have not stopped getting compliments since then. My hair is WAY lighter but it looks so much better. Highlights really make a girl look like she takes care of herself, like she takes time to think about her hair. Whatever you decide I hope it turns out well.

Do highlights first (but be careful because sandy blonde can look ashy on brunette hair) Do caramel first. Better yet - click on the link I provided - it is from Clairol - it can give you an idea of what color to use.

PS I suggest going to a hairstylist for that too. If you dye your hair light you want to have your eyebrows match (or even a bit darker than your colored hair- DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!)

what's youre skin color? picture you with blonde hair will it go? i have dark brunette hair and i got highlights and love them. and you dont have to comit so badly. id go with the HIGHLIGHTS.

well dont get highlights because it drys out your hair like crazy well what color are you right know i dont but i would go with sandy blonde!
