Will Feria Brown Hi-lifts for dark hair even out the color of my hair's roots and body?

I have dark brown/black hair. I got my hair highlighted/chunked. The base color was suppose to be a light brown but the roots ended up becoming an orange-ey brown and the rest of my hair didn't absorb the color so it's dark brown. The highlights turned out well.

I'm thinking about using Feria Hi-lifts for dark hair to even out the color without removing my highlights. The box says it's not recommended for blonde/bleached hair. So my question is, will it work?

If not, I'm planning to go to a salon for a color correction and i'm wondering what the average cost would be to correct this problem?

The heat of your scalp will make haircolor process faster, and get lighter. You have to keep this in mind. especially with dark hair, that horrible brassy orange color is very harsh. High lifts means it is going to lighten your hair even more than the first time you tried to get highlight chunks. If that is what you are looking for. Try it. If you are looking to make those orangey brown roots back to your natural color, you can just choose your natural shade or 2 shades lighter and apply it to the orangey brown parts only. It is difficult to give a presise answer without seeing your hair.

Go to the salon and have the problem repaired so there will be NO problem anymore and you will have many more choices after that of what you can do and what you can't
