How should I style my hair?

Ok, my mom is letting me get my hair cut but she wants me to do something other than getting a shoulder length cut............any tips?

P.S. I'm a 12 year old girl with dark brown hair

Stay away from the highlights. Too high maintance. Chunky layers are cute with long layered bangs. the reason I say stay away from highlights is because they are a pain in the butt unless you have the time and money to keep going back to the salon for touch-ups.

Get layers all around with the shortest layer being a little above your chin. Get golden highlights. You'll look awesome!

u should get layers to frame your face and/or side bangs which i just got and they r REALLY cute. u should also get light brown or blonde highlights. hope i helped good luck :)
