I am unhappy with my highlights that were done by a professional twice! What do i do?

I had my hair highlighted last week and it wasnt what I wanted. I was going for a light blonde with medium brown highlights throughout. I brought in pictures and made it clear that I wanted them all over, not chunky. Well the blonde was too golden and the brown was more of a caramel color. I went back in to have it redone and told her I just wanted the blonde lighter and the brown to be more of a medium brown. I also told her again that I didn't like the chunky look. I even brought in multiple pictures to show her what I wanted. She told me she would just put strands of the medium brown throughout which sounded good to me.

Well, now I have these huge chunks of brown that are so dark that they look black. It looks horrible!!! It was exactly what I didn't want.

I am now at a loss for what to do. Should I call and talk to a manager to have someone else fix it or see if I can get my money back and go somewhere else? I am so upset but I don't want to hurt this ladies feelings either.

i don't think they will give you your money back, but you might try talking to someone else there to see if they will redo it. Go there on a day the lady doesn't work and see if someone else can fix it.

Color fades so I would wait a week or so and see if it fades out to what you want and to give your hair a break. If you still dont like it get a couple blonde hightlights so you get the ligher blonde and to break up the dark. And then never go back to that hair stylist.

talk to the mgr first tell her the situation and that you brought pics in. ask if she can refund your money or have someone else fix it. either way DO NOT go back to that stylist.

Yes, please speak to a manager. Demand you get your money back and go somewhere else. You did the right thing by coming back and trying to get the situation fixed. But with it coming out terrible again, it's best to go and find someone else to fix it for you. Don't even worry about embarrassing anyone. You were specific about what you wanted and she messed up, TWICE!! If It were me, I'd make a big stink about it.

i think you should go to a differant professional and ask them to fix it. the hair style might be for a differant type of hair, for example you could have thick hair and the "look" is for thin hair. And the worse thing about a hair cut is what you think of it. you might just need to get use to it if that doesnt work e-mail me back and i will help you GOOD LUCK! ttyl
