Hair highlighting hazardous to health?

I want to get something done to my hair soooo bad. I'm tired of the same look. But I'm afraid that the chemicals in the dye will cause health problems down the road. Is hair dye really bad for you? And are there safe natural alternatives?

it will dry your hair, but i don't know about health problems down the road as many of the chemicals are also in commercial shampoo %26amp; conditioner for prolonged dye.

lemon juice is a natural bleach, you can put it in your hair then go out in the sun. but if you do that, then every other day you need a shampoo %26amp; conditioner with UV filters so your hair isn't excessively dry.

i use this i have dry hair - it is seriously amazing. use the conditioner as a mask and i've never had shinier hair.

this is silly, the air you breath is hazaedous, just have fun and do it, the thing your probably thinking is when they banned certian hair dye that caused cancer but that was years ago
